🕯️ The Prayer List of the Community
Each day, our dispersed Benedictine community gathers in spirit to lift up the needs of the world in prayer. Rooted in the Anglican tradition and the Rule of St Benedict, our intercessions follow a rhythm that reflects our vocation to stability, compassion, and thanksgiving.
- The Church: We pray for the unity, holiness, and witness of the Church—local and global, lay and ordained—especially the Anglican Communion and the Church in Ireland.
- Spiritual and Religious Leaders
- Members of the Community
- Other Communities
- The World: We intercede for peace, justice, and healing across nations, for leaders and peacemakers, and for all creation groaning for redemption.
- Northern Ireland
- Republic of Ireland
- The Community: We hold one another in prayer—vowed members, oblates, seekers, and friends—asking for grace to live faithfully and joyfully in our dispersed lives.
- Local Schools
- Local Hospitals
- The Suffering: We remember the sick, the lonely, the poor, the persecuted, and all who cry out to God in distress. Their pain becomes part of our offering.
- The Sick of Our Parishes
- Those who have asked for our prayers
- Those who are bereaved
- Thanksgiving: We give thanks for prayers answered, for signs of hope, and for the quiet mercies of God that sustain us day by day.
- The Communion of Saints:
- Benefactors & Friends: We honour those who support and walk alongside us in love.
- The Faithful Recently Departed: We commend to God those who have died, especially in recent days.
- Anniversaries: We mark the anniversaries of those whose lives have shaped our community, giving thanks for their witness.
